Boeken Officier Genie Landmacht
Binnen de Landmacht is er de mogelijkeid om na afronding van een dienstperiode bij te tekenen voor dezelfde functie. Tevens kan de Officier Genie doorgroeien naar de hogere Officiersfuncties binnen de Landmacht en binnen Defensie. Het is ook mogelijk om voor een ander krijgsmachtsonderdeel of overkoepelend orgaan van de krijgsmacht te komen werken.
Buiten Defensie kan de Officier Genie werkzaam worden binnen het bedrijfsleven of bij de overheid. Met de technische achtergrond ligt het voor de hand dat de toekomstige werkzaamheden binnen een technische bedrijfstak zullen vallen. Echter hoeft dit niet persé, aangezien oud-militairen vaak gewild zijn bij allerlei soorten bedrijven.
Momenteel heeft de Landmacht nog vacatures openstaan voor de functie Officier Genie. Het is onbekend wat de gevolgen van de toekomstige bezuinigingen bij Defensie zullen betekenen voor de Genie.
